Sydney has recently entered the "big kid" world. She's been eating solid foods for a few weeks now. We've done all of the cereals, which she has been pretty excited about. Ava has been "pretend" feeding her for months now, so she knew exactly what to do when the spoon approached her little mouth. This week she tried vegetables for the first time. I made some winter squash puree a few months ago, and it's been waiting in the freezer for this special day. Sydney seemed shocked with this new taste, and I just had to share because the photo I took speaks a thousand words.
What this photo does not show is how much of this yellow concoction she spit up about half an hour later. Sydney's letter to Santa should read:
Dear Santa,
All I want for Christmas is a new lower esophageal sphincter. (This, to stop the reflux mess that my Mommy has to clean up every time I eat ANYTHING)
Love, Sydney
