I love the fall. I love the changing colour of the leaves and the beautiful backdrop they serve for photos of my kids. I love pumpkins and apples. I like crisp weather and trading in my shorts and flip flops for a new pair of boots and a nice sweater. I also love Thanksgiving, especially if I am not the one cooking the turkey!
Sydney brought home her own "handprint" turkey craft today. I love seasonal kindergarten crafts. She was so proud! She also brought home a book she "wrote" with her teacher. We sat down and read it together before lunch. It made me smile. I think it will make you smile too. This is what Sydney is thankful for:
"I am thankful for my family".
This warms my heart. She is such a loving and affectionate little girl. There's not a day that goes by where Syd doesn't tell us how much she loves us. We can all learn from Sydney.
"I am thankful for the trees that grow. And the grass."
Me too! Especially since a few months ago we had no green to speak of around our house. Our new grass and trees are a source of pride and joy around here!
"I am thankful for the rainbows."
Well, who isn't? We don't see rainbows too often, but when we do, it is special! In Sydney's world, there are lots of rainbows.
"I am thankful for the beautiful day."
Could it be any simpler than that? We should all just be more thankful for a beautiful day.
I love this little insight into Sydney's kindergarten world. I love that she knows how to be thankful and what's important in life!
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
I am thankful for rekindling old friendships via internet and being reminded of rejoicing of life's little pleasures :) Renee
