Let's start with the kids. At last entry, we had 2 beautiful girls. Well, we've since added a baby boy to the mix. In 2010 we welcomed our wee Jack William into the world. He was our "hat trick" baby. Number 3. Our family is now complete.
I should tell you right now that the decision to have 3 children has turned our world upside down! I love my kids more than anything in this world, but life is busy and hectic and showing no signs of slowing down. My days are busy and full.
Last fall we made our big move to the suburbs. This was another big change in our life. James is now closer to work, so less time is spent commuting. Ava's also been attending a French Immersion program. Our biggest motivation to move was to have access to Early French Immersion schooling and so far, we are very happy with what she is learning.
With a new house comes some growing pains. Our home is a new build and so we've been trying to settle in among some construction chaos. We have a brand-spakin' new house which we love. We also have no yard. No grass. No trees. No paved driveway. In short, we have dirt. Lots of it. This has proven to be a big challenge for me as a mother of three. We have to get creative. We have to find parks. We have to clean up so much mud, sand and rocks. I don't have to tell you how much I am looking forward to having our yard and lot finished. For now, we make our own fun.
Our new neighborhood is full of kids. There are many young families and so there will be lots of sidewalk chalk, road hockey, bike riding and playdates. Without fences right now this new block feels so "open". It's like being in residence during frosh week! It feels like a nice place for our kids to grow up. I hope it lasts!
So we're back in business. I'm going to try to pick up this blogging thing once again to keep our family updated and "in the loop" so to speak. It may also be that this will be my place to vent and muse. If you don't like it, then you don't have to read it.
